Fabulous Flatlock - Extension One
A full one day class 5-6 hours, an addition to Learning to Love your Overlocker
This is the first extension class to the Learning to Love Your Overlocker Workshop. It extensively covers flatlocking and ladder stitch. In the first part of the day you will add additional pages to your folder from the first workshop. The additional pages cover wide and narrow flatlocking and various decorative applications, including ribbon work, decorative thread, beading, lace insertion and creating a blind hem stitch.
The second part of the course is making a project, a beautiful and easy to construct notebook cover. This allows you to make use of some of the techniques covered in the course. All fabrics are provided to complete the workbook and project. Course requirements are available from the store on booking. Perfect for all skill levels.

| Instructor Bio: | As a passionate sewer who enjoys creating and teaching, I have enjoyed many years of creative exploration which began when my heart fell in love with dressmaking in high school. My sewing passion has always been driven by overlocking and I love working with the different stitches you can achieve on an overlocker. After an extensive career in the sewing industry I have become the Founder and Head Teacher of Sew into Overlocking, where I travel across Australia and educate fellow creatives about how they can get the most out of their machines. My mission is to change people's perceptions about overlockers, and take these machines from being misunderstood, underutilised to being a valued part of the creative process. I endeavour to make all my classes enjoyable and encouraging, teaching all skill levels understanding, techniques with a few tips and tricks thrown in. |
