Stitch-Up CF At Palm Beach Quilting

A fundraising event for young people living with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) with Maureen Miller. Kits will be supplied on the day.

Come and join Maureen for a really fun day, and help raise money for this great cause at the same time. You will spend the day with friends and likeminded people to hand stitch a block (or more), which we hope you will then donate back to the Abbie Fennessy Trust. Maureen is donating 100% of your joining fee, and also donating the fabrics and template/s required for your block.

During this workshop, you will learn how to hand piece & work with pre-cut acrylic templates as well as receive tips, tricks and guidance from Maureen on the day. At the end of the day if your block is completed we will ask that you leave it with Maureen or alternatively you can complete it at home over the next month, and Maureen will arrange a date for you to return it. You may even like to take more fabric and make more blocks to donate. Please securely attach your name and contact number to all completed blocks that are returned after the Stitch-Up Day. 

The team at the Abbie Fennessy Trust, will then pick up these blocks to sew into quilts for those living with CF, or for a memorial quilt for families who have recently lost a loved one to CF. 

The day includes Morning Tea and Lunch. Coffee and Tea will be provided as you need it, or you can buy a coffee from Jarryd who will arrive with his coffee truck anytime between 11am & 12 Noon. Please let us know if you have any special dietary needs.

Skill Level Required: Anyone who can thread a needle. (Needle threaders on loan during the day)

Requirements: Basic sewing supplies, needle, thread, scissors and be ready to have a fun day.
