Full Moon Forest II - Hoppy Go Lucky - Starlight

18 years ago, Tula sat down to design her very first fabric collection. She didn't know where that exercise would lead her or that it would completely change her life forever. She  poured everything she had into those drawings without a contract, a guarantee, or a company that wanted to produce what she came up with. That first collection was something of a prayer, a meditation, a hope for a future she didn't have the experience to conceive of yet. That collection was called Full Moon Forest, and it was the first step on a path that has consumed her every waking moment since.

When she realized that she was again sitting down to design a fabric collection but now for the 50th time, she  felt appreciation wash over her. With this new collection, she want to honor where she began and what she has gained along the way. So much has changed since that first collection and in some ways so much is still the same. Full Moon Forrest II is the culmination of the things she has learned along the way and the ways she has evolved, improved, and achieved clarity over the years of doing a job that she loves so much. In this new collection, she has revisited each of the original prints and reimagined them with all of the things she has learned. She didn't want to ignore the original completely, so she included three original prints as "ghost" versions printed in white on white. These prints are designed to act as a memory, a backdrop, the very foundations that the new prints were built upon.

This is a thank you letter for the last 18 years, to the manufacturers, retailers, and quilters that have supported her along the way. Full Moon Forest II is a great bookend to her first 50 collections and an awesome springboard for the next 50.
